Do I have a case?

Asked by a user in Baltimore, MD - about 2 years ago.

More facts are needed to determine the value of your case if you are fired. It is possible that you have a case if your state has a whistleblower protection statute. In most cases you would not have a case because you are likely an employee at will that can be discharged for any reason or no reason.

I started working for a home health agency that made me sign a no compete clause for 18 months if I quit. The job description

Asked by a user in Pittsburgh, PA - about 2 years ago.

It depends on the law in your state. Covenants not to compete are generally not favored by courts. Many states have statutes that forbid non-compete agreements for most people as being in violation of public policy. You should check out the state law in Pennsylvania.
