Factors unrelated to your injuries (such as how long the driver was driving; the driver's record of safety; the company's record of safety; cell phone or drug use, etc.) also increase the value of a case in ways that you may not have thought of. Contact an attorney to assist you. I would, like the others here, be happy to assist you.

It would have been hard for the attorney to anticipate that you were going to have the second wreck. Obviously, things look different with the benefit of hindsight. I would talk to your attorney about your concerns and see where it goes from there. I do not think that 20 days is unreasonable unless the attorney had some reason to think that the condition was going to change.

Most attorneys will not have a substantive discussion with you about the facts of your case while you are still being represented by another. it is somewhat of a catch 22, but ethical rules prohibit those types of communications. In order for another attorney to speak with you, you will probably have to fire your current lawyer, As far as whether your former attorney is entitled to a fee, that will depend (as others have said) upon what work the attorney has done, and if his contract was...

Depending upon what happened in the surgery, you may have a medical negligence case. If he fell below the acceptable standard of care, his insurance company - not publically funded Medicare - should pay for this. Give me a call and I would be happy to discuss the merits of your case.

Although I completely agree with Mr. Arbuckle, I would be willing to look at this claim for you, if you like. Dental cases are tough from a financial standpoint because they typically do not have enough financial loss to make the case economically feasible. Unfortunately, our Republican legislature has taken away a jury's right to award fair compensation for pain, suffering, and other "non-economic" losses. Some of us who wore a uniform to fight for the right to trial by jury in this country...

While you may not have enough damages to warrant a medical malpractice suit, you probably do have enough damages to warrant filing suit against your son's grandfather. His auto insurance should certainly help pay the damages (in fact, your own homeowners' policy may come in to play because it was in your driveway). It can sometimes seem harsh to sue a family member, but remember that we pay insurance companies premiums for years. If this is not the reason to call in the payment - what is....

Potentially. You may at least be able to reduce the rent as a result of that space being unusable. In addition, you probably have a personal injury lawsuit against your neighbor and against your landlord for knowingly permitting a dangerous condition to remain on the property. Give me a call - I would be happy to consult with you free of charge.

I would be happy to look at your case. We would need to show that the Nursing Home was negligent, but also that the neglect somehow injured your brother. These are complicated cases, and you want an attorney who understands the nuances of medical malpractice law in Texas. My firm handles these cases all over the state, and offers free consultations.
