Representing yourself without any previous legal background or knowledge can prove to be a challenge in some cases. It may not be possible to learn every law or detail. Often times the more complex a case is, the more legal knowledge a person needs in order to be successful. A lack of time, resources, and knowledge can be negative points of self-representation. It's better to hire a lawyer to handle this. There are a lot of excellent lawyers in your city.

Not having a bad video helps your case. Not having a good video hurts your case. The jury values scientific evidence the most, like blood or breath tests. Every case is different so what works on one case may not work on another. There are psychological factors that come into play also. You really should hire a lawyer to help you with this. It doesn't matter if your name is not on the card. The insurance covers the car, not the individual. You are covered unless you are specifically named as an excluded driver. However, there shouldn't be a problem to add your name to the card. If they are giving you a hard time, switch to another company. USAA, Farmers, Texas Farm Bureau, Safeco, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, Travelers, The Hartford, and Farmers are decent company alternatives. Make sure to get PIP and UM/UIM because these...

He may be covered by the insurance even though his name is not on the insurance. If the car had insurance, he should be covered, unless he was specifically excluded. If the owner of the car knew he did not have a license, they could be liable for negligent entrustment. If he was in the course and scope of his employment, his employer will be liable for the wreck. Your insurance may cover your damages if you have UM/UIM coverage. PIP and MedPay will also provide you with some coverage....

You definitely have a defense. If you got HIV from her, she committed a major felony. The way I see it, you are the victim and the charges against you are too high. Aggravated assault for a bruise? That's ridiculous. I would fight this if I was you and get an AIDS test now and again in 6 months, which you can order online now. I just saw a commercial for home testing kits. Sorry this happened to you

Yes, a good criminal defense lawyer can really help your friend. The severity of this case is precisely the reason your friend needs a good lawyer. The more severe a case, the more the need for a good lawyer. Your friend has no chance representing himself on such a serious charge. Your friend, by sleeping with a 14 year old, obviously has shown that he is not good at making sound decisions, so you can only imagine what other bad decisions he will make on his own without a lawyer. Your...
