Write a letter immediately to your insurance company reporting the accident. Get girlfriends insurance policy and write a letter immediately to them. Get a short statement from her and attach it to both reports. Why you hire the lawyer? Did you hire him to help you in the criminal matter, or to help you in the lawsuit against you in the justice of the peace court? Did he file an answer to the lawsuit in the justice of the peace court? You should win the case in the justice of the peace...

I suspect that left unsaid in your description of the facts is that you received payment of the chiropractic bill, which was paid directly to him from your medical payments coverage and that you received a settlement from the people with whom you collided. You then did not pay back medical that your insurance company had paid though they had a right to be repaid

Maybe 20 years ago, Insurance companies would make the party not at fault pay in order to keep a report from going to the state that the uninsured driver was uninsured and in a wreck and thereby prevent the suspension of the right to drive. You say nothing about liability. If she is at fault she may have to pay to keep her license from being suspended. I do not believe she can be arrested for no insurance. However in most instances without showing proof of financial responsibility at the wreck...

Without seeing the gap insurance policy and the appraisal of the damage to your vehicle, it is difficult to to give you any recommendations. However, just because the gap insurance policy says that your car was worth XXX does not mean that it is worth XXX. look up the values on the Internet at Car Nation and AutoNation and see if you can come up with a value that is more than what the Insurance said it was worth. Call them and tell them your figures show your car is worth more than that they...
No car rental till repairs start, then they may reimburse for limited car rental, or furnish a vehicle rented for you for a limited time. If their mind is made up at 50%, then your only alternative is to sue them. I bet you gave a statement and said you were not injured. Not much you can do if you gave a statement and said no injury.
There is some authority thfor the proposition that you ar eentitled to a vehicle for a reasonable time, despite the total loss. I tell my clients that if they need one to rent it if they can afford it, but to keep it short and meke other arrangements asap. Be sure to check your own police for rental car coverage. Also, look at any Auto Club memberships as there may be rental car provision there. Lastly if you are going to buy a new vehicle and have chosen a dealer, ask him to provide...
Must have a witness, pictures, etc. The pictures you have are good. No damage except mental anguish and the insurance company for the manufacter will only pay nuisance value, perhaps 4500 to $1500. However report to the FDA and to the center for Disease control (CDC) in Atlanta. If there have been others, that will come out and yuor claim will be worth more.
