About me

Amy N. Montgomery is an associate attorney at Price & Price where she practices family law. A recognized "Professional on the Fast Track" by H Texas Magazine, her focus includes all aspects of family law including divorce, modification, child custody, visitation, child support, property division, and contested litigation.

She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, Montgomery was a member of the Mock Trial Team and winner of the Hippard Open Mock Trial Competition. She was also a member of the Order of Barristers and the Houston Journal of International Law Journal.

Montgomery is a frequent author and lecturer on family law and litigation topics for the State Bar of Texas. She has also been featured as a "Texas Rising Star" by the Texas Super Lawyers in Texas Monthly Magazine. A "Texas Rising Star" is a top lawyer who is forty years old or younger or who has been in practice for ten years or less, and candidates are evaluated on twelve indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. In addition to advocating for her clients in the courtroom, Montgomery is certified as a mediator by the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center. Montgomery is married with three young children. Therefore, as a working mother and wife herself, she is aware of the complexity of the marital relationship. In all client relationships, she strives to achieve the best possible outcome and to encourage amicable family relationships to continue even after the legal process is complete.
