As I stated, I would post a follow up when her case is approved. It was approved yesterday. I know what I am doing and people just need to learn to be patient with uscis, we cannot force them to decide cases in the time we want them too. I did my job properly and an approved case was the result. I rest MY case!

My husband and I were very pleased with the service provided by Lisa. The service was excellent. She answered all our questions, followed-up, and kept us updated. Lisa has an excellent knowledge in her work. She made the process smooth for us. We would definitely recommend her service.

Lisa okoh-Brown was very helpful to my case, she went above and beyond her call of duty to help me and family, she even travelled to Philadelphia to help with a federal case as related with immigration matters. She was a blessing to my family.
Lawyer’s Comment:
The federal judge in PA was refusing a bond to my client based on her lack of knowledge of immigration law. his criminal attorney in P.A. was not doing his job and I could not let my client sit a minute longer detained in federal prison, so I demanded his criminal attorney file another bond motion for him even though he kept telling me that the federal judge and the federal prosecutor would not give my client bond, which made me angry because he was not fighting for our mutual client. I therefore called the family to find out when the federal court hearing was and was allowed to address the federal court judge and after an hour and a continuance to the late afternoon which caused me to take a later flight (I did not care, the client is the most important) I was able to successfully convince the federal judge to grant bond based on the immigration case that I felt my client had. the judge had previously denied him twice. It was amazing day and his family praised me profoundly. it is these moments that we work for as immigration attorneys. they are more rewarding than any money.

Lisa helped me get a fiance visa for my fiance and a visa for her son, and then their green cards. I had no idea how to go about either, and she made the process VERY easy. She sent me all the proper forms with detailed instructions for me to fill out, and she and her group did the rest. And she and her staff were very courteous and helpful with all my questions. We now successfully have their green cards with no hassle.

Atty Okoh-Brown helped me with my immigration papers. My case was a unique case. I came from the Philippines, my mom petitioned me before I reached 21 years old. Got my petition approved and my visa number current but was denied by USCIS of adjusting my status to permanent residency because my mom was naturalized before I filed for adjustment and moved up my petition from Family based 2 to Family base 1 which then lead to a 10 year wait for visa number to be current.
I then went to a lawyer and consulted this. Paid almost 4k and was told that they already filed my adjustment of status. To my surprise I got a letter from Dept of Homeland Security for deportation.
I searched for another lawyer and Atty Okoh responded to my request. She helped me with my papers and she represented me with my case. I am now a permanent resident and I was not deorted thanks to Atty Okoh-Brown.
Lawyer’s Comment:
This was a unique case because she had been ordered deported when she appeared in court with another attorney who was unable to put forth arguments about relief this client was eligible for. The client was smart enough to ask for more time to find another attorney. I appeared at her next hearing but prior to the hearing briefed our argument on the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) for which she was eligible but for which the uscis stated she was not. I completely disagreed and we went to bat in court. She now has her green card and it was a pleasure to help such a deserving young lady who is an asset to this country. At my firm we will fight even when the service says there is no hope, we do not give up just because the service says to do so.

Lawyer’s Comment:
First of all as an attorney I never say anything is Easy. This was a straight forward adjustment case, nothing complicated. Due to Janet's personal issues she is trying to find someone to blame for immigration delaying the decision in her case. She is a prime example of why lawyers do not want to deal with certain clients. She is unreasonable and nothing she said affected the handling of her case. I was 20 mins late to the immigration office due to a car accident that had lanes closed and I had to take another route, but what she doesn't mention is that she and her husband were still waiting in the lobby to go into the interview. We waited another hour after I got there, so I was NOT late for the interview. She states I was suppose to prepare them for the interview. We met 2 weeks before the interview in my office and I thoroughly prepared them for the interview as I do all of my clients. Many lawyers do not even take the time to prepare clients but I always do. She states I forgot my ID, that is correct. I left it in my car and due to the fact that traffic delayed me I didn't want to keep them waiting. What she doesn't state is that the officer accepted that I was the lawyer and me not having my ID did NOT delay the interview one second!
Some people lie and twist the facts. She is correct, I am involved in another business as an affiliate as that helps me to give discounts to my clients and even take on pro bono cases (free) for people who cannot afford an attorney and I will continue to do so. I want to help as many people as possible but it is difficult when you are a small practice to work for free, so if this partnership with another business helps me help more people I will continue to do so! I shared the information with her because she stated she wanted to earn extra money, I never force anything on a client and this has no bearing on her case and is an example of her attempts to slander my name.
What she does not mention is that her medical exam was done wrong and that is the one thing that delayed her case. That is the one part of the case that had NOTHING to do with me! After she went and re-did the medicals we resubmitted them. After 2 weeks I wrote a letter to uscis demanding an answer on her case. I typically charge to write follow up letters but for her I did not charge anything, but of course she doesn't mention any of this. I am not a perfect person, but the one thing I do is fight for my clients and in her case everything was done correctly! Uscis is short of staff right now and so all cases are taking longer to get decisions on, not just hers. It has nothing to do with the attorney when our work is done and the officers have to decide the case. A reasonable person can understand that but not Janet.
I also want to make it clear to foreign clients that this is America and you cannot write lies about people, especially about their profession and post it on the internet. She has stated that I am incompetent. Any person reviewing my credentials or talking to any of the thousands of clients that I have assisted will quickly see this is libel/defamation of character. She says she has to hire a new attorney...to do what? write to ask for an answer on her case? There is nothing to do but wait, all the work is done.
In the mean time she and I will see each other in court as I will be taking legal action against her and anyone who tries to defame my character or publish lies about me, as she is trying to do. I will protect my reputation. If she is upset then take it out on uscis. I can also promise a follow up when her case is approved. I could see if the case was denied but it is simply pending the officer's decision and rather than be patient she wants to write lies about me when all I did was work hard on her case and do everything right. Note that everything she said, nothing relates to the case and nothing indicates I did anything that hurt or delayed her case. Nothing.
