I contacted Attorney Mitchell Katine by searching the internet for a Real Estate Attorney. I needed someone knowledgeable but also was looking for someone who had been in practice for some time. A seasoned veteran, I might say. While reading recommendations, such as this, my thought was that he would be very expensive and I wouldn't be able to afford someone of his caliber. However, that did not prevent me from contacting him. The least I could do was have the initial meeting and then make a decision. Well the first meeting captured me. We met in a conference room which was very inviting and comfortable. When I began with the content of my case, I mentioned that it was a five-year old case and it had never gone to trial. So we needed someone who we could give a five year synopsis of what was going on and be able to interpret what we needed. Because of his expertise, he did just that. He was there with me all the way. At the time Attorney Katine accepted the case, the judge had ordered a mitigation. We only had two weeks to get this done. He did it. Never missed a beat, never left me out of the loop of what was going on, such as filings or conversations with the opposing attorney. He had to pick up from where another attorney left off in a short period of time. He was diligent in doing research with other cases similar to mine, which was a benefit to our case. This five year case ended in three months when Attorney Katine took over. We left shouting Hallelujah. I thank God for leading me to the internet and choosing Attorney Katine for this case. He knows how to take care of his clients and is very respectful.
It was a very long process for us, prior to meeting Mitchell, and we started having doubts if this would ever be finalized. Mr Katine asked salient questions during my discourse to ensure complete understanding of my issue. Upon the full debrief of my issue Mr Katine boiled down my issue to the most important facts and laid out a legal approach for me to resolve my issue independently without further legal costs. I implemented his plan and was able to successfully resolve my issue. As a small business owner, and in my first ever need of legal assistance, I was quite surprised that a lawyer would first present a solution for a prospective client to undertake independently of a lawyer's assistance. We were in a dispute with our POA board over a construction deposit. Despite being clearly in the wrong, they refused to return our $1000. Mitchell wrote a fantastic letter explaining why they were wrong and demanding the return of our deposit within ten days. They caved in six. He's an excellent attorney who doesn't waste time.
Mitchell has been very responsive, trustworthy, respectful and great at communicating. I have already referred him to several people because I know he will do his best to help or point them in the right direction. Mitchell took my case after it had been filed incorrectly by another lawyer and after I had been misled by others. Even with my past legal mistakes, Mitchell was able to recover my losses and settle my case relatively quickly. I felt that Mitchell did his best to help me and was looking out for my interests. If I had to say something negative about Mitchell, it would be that he is too kind and doesn't let the emotions of a situation phase him. For this reason, I trust him better than I trust myself. Mitchell went above and beyond anything I would ever expect from an attorney.

Mitchell Katine was referred by another attorney a dear friend, Kim Ogg, whom we respect . As it turns out we were in violation of deed restrictions, so we hired Mitchell in hopes of overcoming our obstacles. Mitchell was honest and forthright - showed us case law and explained everything so that my wife and I made a very informed decision to cease violation, Mitchell's advice and honesty saved us thousands in legal fees we would have incurred and bought us time to correct our mistake.
