If I could give this joke of a lawyer a ZERO, I would! I had an outstanding warrant in Arlington. My husband found him on Craigs List and since he had low rates, I went with him. Well, everything started out great, he was able to lift my warrant within a week or two. I needed to provide him with proof of insurance, but unfortunately did not work out for me because the insurance wasn't under my name and I wasn't a covered driver. Anyway, he kept having to push the case back to May of this year and I had to pay ANOTHER FEE. So after the case I contacted him, no answer. Okay I waited a few weeks, still no answer, a month passes by, I contact him AGAIN, no answer, another month passes and STILL NO ANSWER!!! It is now the end of September, I have contacted him again, checked my status and I am BACK on ARREST WARRANT!!!!!! Ridiculous! He finally answered me saying he BELIEVES he sent me paperwork, when I haven't received ANYTHING. And for him not to answer me for 4 MONTHS! That is completely unacceptable. I'm really disappointed and extremely angry that this had not been taken care of and I have not gotten any communication from him in a timely manner and because I had to pay double of what I originally thought I would've had to pay!!!! Now I have to pay ANOTHER lawyer to get this done correctly. Like the saying goes, If it's too good to be true, it probably is!

I contracted this attorney for two speeding tickets. He actually showed up for one of them, but did no more than what I could have done. However, he was a no show for the second and I didn't find out until I was stopped by City of Fort Worth not because I did anything wrong, but because I was filling up with gas and they pulled in the parking log and their "360 Plate Scan" showed that I had warrants associated with my license plate.
Thankfully they were kind enough to not take me to jail, tow my car and send my dog to animal control.
I contacted him and he responded right back and said that he would look into it. That's been almost two months ago and I guess he's still looking into it and lost his phone while he was looking.
I'm currently unemployed and finding a job has been a challenge, especially since I didn't know that I had warrants out for my arrest. Therefore, I don't have the money to pay the full fine with additional the warrant charges because I have no job and I can't get a job, because I have outstanding warrants that pop up on a background check. My last resort to clear the warrants so that I can get a job is to sit the tickets out in JAIL!!!
Even after making him aware of that I am going to sit these tickets out in jail, STILL no response from my boy Richie.

I was very skeptical of using Mr. Martin's services after reading the reviews online. I told him my worries and he quickly and professionally jumped at the opportunity to prove his negative reviews wrong. We are still working with Mr. Martin on my husband's traffic tickets and warrants and he is STILL doing an exceptional job.
He communicates with you promptly and lets you know exactly what is going on with your case. I do not know what really happened to cause such negative feedback thus far, but in my opinion these reviews do not sound like the same man I hired.
It would do you well to use Richard Martin as an attorney, he has competitive rates and knows what he is doing. It took him less than 2 hours to clear my husband's 4 outstanding warrants.

I had him handle 3 citations. 1 was handled, 1 the officer showed up at my door to arrest me and the third ended up in a warrant. he doesn't get back to you and never addresses the citations. after the lewisville officer showed up at my door, Richard said he would handle it and my next ticket would be on the house. i luckily received my third a few weeks later. nothing was on the house and he just got me deffered. he is terrible. i wasnt going to write this but ran into a friend last night that had the same type of story about Richard! THE WORST!! DO NOT HIRE!! believe me

He handled almost all of it by email. Very helpful and professional. All my cases were dismissed and I owe nothing. Affordable rates.

I received two traffic citations and retained Richard H. Martin to represent me. A court date was set in Kaufman County JP#2. He never notified me of my court date and he was a "no show" at the hearing. I sent him an e-mail asking what the disposition was and he never responded. Subsequently, Kaufman County issued three warrants for my arrest (one each for the citations and an additional warrant for Failure to Appear) and I was arrested on a traffic stop in Highland Park. After my arrest, I called him and he finally responded and said that he had recently found my e-mails asking about my case while he was going through old e-mails. After I told him I had been arrested due to his negligence, he said he had not done anything wrong and it was the court's fault and refused to give my retainer fee back.

Richard Harold Martin is an unprofessional lawyer. He never send in my papers for the case. I have asked the people at the Court House about it, but they said they did not receive the papers. I then asked him again about this, after I asked for my money back. He said he gave in the papers to the Court House. But I was at the Court House the same day he said that. He replied to my first message very quickly, though after I sent him the money and contract, he never contacted me back again, until I ask my money back. When I went to his office, the receptionist at his floor said he was away at the court. But she did not know when he'll be back or any other information.
With other people who found this lawyer and got scammed. I seriously regret other people to go to him for a traffic ticket or any other reason.
Truly I don't understand how he gets good reviews from some people. My scenario was identical with people who gave him poor rate, go to www.yelp.com or www.yellowpages.com to read other reviews. Person can't be changed from one case to another with simple thing as responsibility - it's very unprofessional.

My wife was arrested for outstanding warrants that a different lawyer was paid to handle and apparently did not take care of them. Mr. Martin did everything that he said he would do, and she was released from police custody. He was efficient, reliable, and sympathetic to our situation. I would highly recommend him, and if we get in another jam, would definitely not hesitate to contact him again. Excellent service is what I experienced.

I have used the Mr. Martin for 2 cases over the past year. In the most recent case, I was invloved in an auto accident (alleged DWI). He was able to get the charges reduced to class C misdemeanor and also keep it off my record. I ended up paying a small fine, around $250, and my driving record is still clean.
As far as his services, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and proactive. He kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions througout the ordeal. I would highly recommend Mr. Martin and his legal expertise.

I wont come out and call him one but when someone takes your money for a service they are to provide and then do not provide that service what do you call them? One word that comes to mind starts with a T and I dont mean terrific. Another starts with C and I dont mean commendable. Another starts with D and I dont mean dynamic. He got my tickets moved to Dallas county. One was dismissed, another went to trial and I was given a fine and the opnly way I found out I had a fine to pay was because I sent him a message and got lucky that he even took time to respond to it claiming it was all Dallas County's fault. That's the thing with him. All excuses..Always someone else's fault. He offered to pay the fine for me with the court if I payPaled him the money, oh plus his fee for doing so and a 3.5% fee that PayPal charges. So far, fine has still not been paid and the few times he has responded to me have been excuses and apparent lies. I havent heard as many excuses and lies since I was married to my ex wife. Lost phone, email not set up correctly, windbag prosecutors keeping him from getting to Crowely to pay. The other ticket? According to the court he never did anything with that one. It's sat there for a year with no activity. So, I am riding around unknowingly having two warrants because he either cant or wont do what he was paid to do. So, I'll have to go pay the stupid $300+ fine myself, hire a new lawyer for the other ticket and I suppose kiss the $300+ I paid him for his graceousness to go pay my fine, goodbye. I certainly hope he has enjoyed that $300+ I apparently gifted him because he sure as heck hasnt lived up to what he claimed would do. I can promise him one thing, I will not go quietly, I'll get something for that money, he can rest assured of that.
There is a questions, "What kind of cases does this attorney handle?" Apparently none, because he is either too incompetent or lazy to to do anything.

Richard took my money and then stopped communication. I never got a court date or paperwork. He never answered my calls and eventually stopped returning my emails all together after giving me the run around for weeks on why he couldn't get me info I was requesting. I had other people call him, I even consulted another lawyer.
If he couldn't handle my case, all he had to do was say so. To say this guy is unprofessional is an understatement.
You have been warned.

Richard Martin has done an excellent job for me. He was affordable, Didnt wait to handle my case, kept me up to date and was just very reliable. I was very happy with the results.
