How do I keep my mineral rights when selling my house?

Asked by a user in Flower Mound, TX - almost 3 years ago.

Most deed forms or contracts for the sale of land will have a provision regarding mineral interest. Look through your paperwork and it should be there. If it is not, then you may not be using standard forms and should be careful. You will want to retain 100% of the mineral rights.

What can I do if a plastic surgeon did not do a full Tummy Tuck?

Asked by a user in San Antonio, TX - about 3 years ago.

Typically, doctors have contracts that specify the extent of their services. Did your contract or paperwork with the doctor specify that he would tighten the abdominal muscles?

Are the deadlines (discovery, expert witnesses, etc. the same as in Family Court?

Asked by a user in Houston, TX - almost 3 years ago.

There are three discovery levels in personal injury cases. Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Level 1 and Level 2 have mandatory time limits for certain discovery whereas Level 3 is meant for more complicated cases where both parties can submit a scheduling order to the Court for approval to determine the discovery deadlines.

Passenger injured5 months ago; when is the best time to submit a DEMAND LETTER?

Asked by a user in Muncie, IN - about 1 year ago.

I am licensed in Texas and have something to add to the comments made by other attorneys. The medical authorizations usually sent by an insurance company are very broad and generally seek ALL documents for medical treatment whether or not it is related to your accident. As for the demand letter, I think you should send a demand letter after you have finished treating or you have determined the extent of your damages.
