I recently paid this attorney a retainer fee of $300 to represent my wife as a criminal defense attorney.After 2 and 1/2 weeks she accomplished nothing.Not even competent enough to take over for the court appointed attorney.To make things worse she said she would refund my retainer fee of $300 if I d...rove to Waco to pick up the money.I drove 80 miles and when I got 4 miles from the office her secretary called and informed me that not only would I not get my $300 back but I also owe her $300 more because she "did some paperwork" for my wife's case and in their opinion constituting a $600 charge.Its bad enough having a loved one in jail who is in a lot of distress, but to have someone who claims to be a professional blatantly lie to me on the phone really rubbed salt into the injury.I rehired my original court appointed attorney as a result.At least he tells the truth and returns my phone calls.If you need a criminal defense attorney I HIGHLY recommend you shop around before considering a lazy so called professional like this one.
