Can a pay day loan company file charges on me for a fraudulent check when my account with them was discharged in my bankruptcy?

Only the Cowley County Attorney files criminal charges where you live. Prosecutors do not call on the telephone and threaten to file charges if payment is not made within an hour. Prosecutors represent the State of Kansas in the interest of justice.They are not bill collectors. Most prosecutors who file insufficient funds check cases (some do not) send a letter before charges are filed. You may check with the Clerk of the District Court to see if there is a case filed against you....
