People v MJ

Case Conclusion Date: 09.21.2011

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Outcome: Motion granted, case dismissed

Description: MJ was arrested for failure to stop at a red light, driving under the influence, as well as driving on a suspended or revoked license. Based on his background, including, three prior DUI arrests and dispositions, he was upgraded to a felony charge. Evidence included a video of the stop and subsequent arrest. At a hearing on a motion to quash the arrest, we alleged that the Defendant never actually entered the intersection, and, had he entered that particular intersection, he would have been issued a citation by the City of Chicago based on the photo enforcement of that intersection.
