    If the dismissal is motioned promptly for reconsideration, yes. Usually the motion must be done within 30 days. And there must be strong grounds.

    You should hire another lawyer today and get that lawyer up to speed BEFORE the session in court Friday (assuming you want to win the trial)

    The prosecutor alone makes the decision to "drop" charges. On these facts, a conviction seems easy so there is no motivation to do so. Hire counsel and formulate a defense.
