MALINI RAO is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, LLP. She is a member of the Qui Tam Group.
Ms. Rao has experience investigating and litigating affirmative, complex matters involving the financial industry, health care providers, and public works contracts pursuant to the False Claims Acts.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Rao served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General for over 6 years. In addition to her qui tam practice, she had a diverse practice that included litigating matters alleging environmental violations, consumer fraud, and constitutional challenges to state statutes. She also previously served as a Law Clerk for the City of Chicago Department of Law, as a Legal Extern for Cook County Circuit Court Judge William D. Maddux, and as a Legal Extern for Judge Alan J. Greiman of the Illinois Appellate Court.
Ms. Rao earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Political Science and a minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
