Biography
I concentrate my practice in franchise and business law.
I am an active member in the International Franchise Association and former chairman of the Chicago chapter. I speak and moderate at local and national events. I am an active member in the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising and have published in the ABA Franchise Law Journal and the Franchise Lawyer. I am also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
I am an avid ultramarathon runner. I have run approximately 40 ultramarathons and marathons, including many races of 100 and 50 miles and the Boston Marathon eight times.
I have prepared a video and a thesis paper on The Evolutionary Experiences of an Ultramarathon Runner for my Master’s in Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago.

I also am on the auxiliary board of Chicago Run, a non-profit group providing running programs in Chicago elementary schools and am a pro-bono attorney for the Midwest Adoption Center.
