Personhood Oklahoma v. Brittany Barber, et. al.

Timothy N. Baldwin

Case Conclusion Date:August 31, 2012

Practice Area:Constitutional

Description:Oklahoma attempted to include withing the definition of "person" a human being after having been conceived, which would be given due process protections. The Oklahoma Court struck down this attempt, stating it violated the U.S. Supreme Court's rulings in Planned Parenthood v. Casey and Roe v. Wade. This matter was filed in the United States Supreme Court. We assert that the OK constitutional amendment did not, in any way, violate the U.S. Constitution or U.S. Supreme Court decisions.
