Tried to make us pay $10,800 for a $2,500 Chapter 13 and lied on his request for additional payment.

After we paid our fee for a Chapter 13, Mr. Ruffenach talked us into filing a Chapter 7, and when the courts said no and it had to be revised to a 13. He did not respond to the courts in a timely manner. We were sent letters from the Trustee stating we were not being timely. It was Mr. Ruffenach that... was taking his time and there was always an excuse. Now for the clincher...after we paid our $2500 prior he tried to bill us an additional fee of $8,300. Thank goodness I keep all of my records and there was never another contract signed for the conversion to a 13. Why? Well, it was his doing that the Chapter 13 was not filed in the first place. Be careful on what contracts you sign. We won our case thank goodness and didn't have to pay him for his bad recomendation.
