State of Minnesota v. Robert M

Christopher Jay Cadem

Case Conclusion Date:January 1, 2008

Practice Area:Criminal Defense

Outcome:Successful Appeal - Modified

Description:Robert was charged with felony possession of methamphetamines. We brought a motion to dismiss for lack of probable cause. The trial court ruled against Robert on the motion. We then entered a Lothenbach Plea to preserve the pretrial error for appeal. We then appealed the trial court's decision. While the appeal was pending, the State dismissed all charges to avoid a negative ruling and the imposition of costs.
