Each state has very specific laws on the responsibilities of landlords and whether they can be sued for defects in the structure. I urge you to call a local attorney. Most will advise you for no initial charge.

    Joseph’s Answer

The accident will be your fault. The question is how did that collision cause so much damage? first you have to get case opened if you can. If this is in small claims court you may be able to do it yourself. If not, you'll need the help of an attorney.

  • Personal injury

I hear all the time lawyers that most csses are resolved in a little over 2 years but if your county hss a long backlog of trial ready csses then it could be years later that it comes to completion

    Joseph’s Answer

Most cases get resolved long before a trial, so the backlog not be a good indicator of when your case may actually get resolved.

  • I am considering looking for a legal funding program while I wait for my settlement to be determined. Local is better?

    Joseph’s Answer

I also urge great caution with legal funding businesses. Even a family loan would be preferable. I think you would find these businesses reluctant to advance money in this type os case.

If the harassment is based on your religion or other protected area (gender, age, sexual orientation, race) then you may have a civil rights claim. Wisconsin has a reasonably good enforcement system. You would contact the state and an attorney.

    Joseph’s Answer

You may have a case if the insurance company is not fulfilling it's obligations under the terms of the policy. You should pursue the appeals process for denials of coverage. You should involve your doctor's office in trying to resolve the coverage issue and I recommend you get your related medical records and correspondence from insurance company and submit them to a reputable injury firm for review.

Very sorry for your loss. Medical negligence cases in Wisconsin are very difficult to win. Joseph’s Answer

I agree with earlier advise. I'd be particularly careful of telling the police whether you voluntarily allowed him to use your car, if he was not properly licensed. I'd also wonder if you are getting straight story from boyfriend about who caused accident. I recommend you get copy of accident report and review it with an attorney.
