Valuing a personal injury claim is not something that can be done over the internet. You have a lawyer. That lawyer is far more familiar with what happened than you can give in a summary. Your lawyer knows more about your defendant and whether any other claimants have a claim on her insurance. Listen to your lawyer.

An officer's credibility is a factor in deciding whether there is sufficient evidence for conviction but doesn't automatically get a case thrown out as three good Texas lawyers have already explained. Often people think that because it isn’t a murder case, a drunk driving case is simple. Nothing could be further from the truth. These cases can be among the most complex a criminal defense lawyer handles. The government is willing to spend an incredible amount of money to convict you though....

That a computer told you that you were over the legal limit does not mean that you were, any more than a computer telling you that you have 2,000,000,000 in your bank account means the money is there or yours. Drinking and driving may be unwise, but it is not a crime for most people. You owe it to yourself to talk with a local DUI/DWI attorney about what happened, how much you had to drink, and what your options are. If any answer on AVVO helps you, please mark it as "helpful" or "best...

They do not have to catch you driving or in the driver's seat. They have to prove that you were driving. This can be done with circumstantial evidence and often is. The best expert opinion I can render is that you do not want to be driving under the influence or over the legal BAC limit. Period. You can get a portable breath test machine from Amazon.com for less than $50. If you are going to drive after drinking, you owe it to yourself and the rest of us to get one, use it, and pay attention...

The "current will" is the last one validly signed. I'm sure if it was written by a Wisconsin lawyer it has provisions for what to do if someone named in the will dies first. I expect that under the terms of the Will your proposed disposition will be what happens, but I could be wrong. You can get a probate lawyer to help you with this.

You should immediately talk with an experienced dui/owi/dwi/drunk driving defense lawyer. There may well be defenses to the charge of which you are unaware. These cases can be among the most complex a criminal defense lawyer handles. The government is willing to spend an incredible amount of money to convict you though. You should be talking to your lawyer about this. Dismissed without prejudice means they can start the charge again, when they get their ducks in a row. I agree with Mr. Trabin. It depends on what the law school application asked. On employment, school, and professional licensing applications, it always depends on the question asked. If you have been granted admission to the school, and your answer was erroneous, you should correct it. It may not make any difference, but an erroneous answer could reflect on your character and fitness for admission to the bar even if a truthful answer would not have caused a problem. If any answer on...
