Prior to founding Adams Urfer, LLC, Gil began his career at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren, s.c., where he learned to thoroughly analyze, litigate and negotiate complex cases. After several years, Gil left private practice and spent the next five years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. There, Gil served as Team Captain of Domestic Violence Unit, where he supervised and trained a team of 10 prosecutors.
Gil has tried over 40 civil and criminal jury trials and has litigated hundreds of court trials and other contested hearings.
Additionally, Gil has trained police officers and detectives locally and nationally in the areas of criminal investigation and trial preparation. For the past several years, Gil has represented individuals and businesses in criminal and civil matters in the state and federal courts. Gil uses the same skills that gained him respect as a prosecutor to defend the rights and futures of his clients
Gil graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School in 2002 after obtaining his Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998. During law school, Gil was a member of the Marquette Law Review. He has also lectured locally and nationally in the areas of criminal investigation and trial preparation.
