I was so disappointed with Mr. Appleby's performance in the initial stages of litigation that I dismissed him. His answer to a complaint was cursory and incomplete. He showed little interest in a collaborative approach, submitting the answer to me only when there was no time to review it before it w...as filed with the court. Although his hourly rate was reasonable, I felt that the hours of work he claimed were high compared to his actual work product. In fairness, the issues in my case were apparently unfamiliar to him, and he might have performed acceptably if he were dealing with a more familiar set of issues.
