First the court house is a public forum open to the public. You can go to the Court house and watch the proceedings. Under Michgian's Crime Victim's Rights Act yo not only have right to be there but a right to speak at sentencing. She will only get in trouble if she is seen haveing contact with you. The answer is essentially that if the Court abstracted the record tot he secretary of state 20 years ago it should still show on your record. For insurance purposes it should not impact your ability to drive a commercial vehicle.
