Can I be at my Fiance's Court date for Domestic Assault on me?

First the court house is a public forum open to the public. You can go to the Court house and watch the proceedings. Under Michgian's Crime Victim's Rights Act yo not only have right to be there but a right to speak at sentencing. She will only get in trouble if she is seen haveing contact with you. She is the person restrained by the Court not you. There is nothing in your answer that would suggest the Court has jurisdiction over you to even issue a restraining order. If you have contact...

DUI/DWI over 20 years ago

As indicated by the other contributor's traffic crimes such a a DUI charge will remain on your record for life. The answer is essentially that if the Court abstracted the record tot he secretary of state 20 years ago it should still show on your record. For insurance purposes it should not impact your ability to drive a commercial vehicle. Remeber that the technology and events that have caused the increase in penalties and reporting to national databasis was not in place 20 years ago. It...
