Disorganized

Late for our meeting at his messy office. My gut said walk but I gave him a chance. Quoted his services at $750 then afterward without any explanation billed us for another $250. Never did anything extra or said a word about any balance. Just sent a bill. Worst legal assistance ever.

Gave Advise then claimed He Didn't

I meet with Thomas Sicuro with my mother (helping her with a legal issue), via her Hyatt Legal Plan. It was in regard to an issue with a home insurance company. My MAIN concern that I kept bringing up throughout the meeting was statute of limitation to file. I was willing to go to the court--that ...day--myself to file and preserve my mother legal rights. Mr Sicuro assured us it would not play because the insurance company did things that would violate their right to enforce the time limit. I questioned this no less than THREE times before walking out the door. Long story short, when I was talking to the insurance adjuster he stated the time was up...he ended up talking to Mr. Sicuro...a lawyer against an adjuster, and then Mr. Sicuro called me and said my mother had no case because of statute of limitations. I was shocked, I reminded Mr. Sicuro what he said, and he never denied it but just kept insisting he did not recall saying the things he said to my repeated concerns. He has been practicing a LONG time, possibly too long...I am not sure if he was just brushing us off that day we met because it was a smaller issue and he did not want to deal with it, or if he truly is losing his edge. Maybe he didn't want the case, but then I would have appreciated him saying "Yes, go file immediately so that is done, and then look for another attorney because I would be able to do it." Instead we got repeated assurances of bad legal advise that compromised our ability to take a legal stand on my mother behalf. Now I am looking for a probate attorney for her and his name came up again....NO WAY! I need an attorney I can rely on!
