  • I have a logo along with some drawing I designed to go with my logo. My question is how do I take ownership of it?

Example: McDonalds and their arch. Arby's Tall brown hat.

Trademark ownership rights are gained by using the trademark in commerce. It is possible to initiate the trademark registration process based upon an "intent to use" the trademark, but you will need to begin actually using it in order to complete the registration process. If you would like more information please contact me at slawson@lawsonfirm.net to schedule a consultation. I am located in the Cleveland area and licensed here in Ohio.

  • 3 years ago when I was terminated I got my last check but then had the direct deposit reversed. Am I still entitled to the money

They deposited the check and then they did a direct deposit reversal and took it back, so technically I have never recieved a last paycheck after a couple attempts with different HR people I gave up, but I still think I should get that check even ...

If you earned the pay, the employer must pay it to you. It is illegal for an employer to refuse to pay compensation that you earned prior to your termination.
