Ohio probation violation & jail time

Asked by a user in Troy, OH - almost 3 years ago.

If he is found guilty of a probation violation, there are typically two outcomes. One, he could be continued on probation (which may be extended) and would ultimately avoid jail. Or, the judge could revoke his probation and implement any jail time that was suspended. If the charge was in fact reduced to a misdemeanor of the first degree, then the most jail time he was facing was one hundred and eighty days. However, you have not indicated whether he served any days and how many the judge...

Unpaid court fees

Asked by a user in Woodville, OH - almost 3 years ago.

It varies from county to county. However, it is most likely that when your court fees are not paid by the due date and you fail to appear on that date, a warrant is issued for your arrest. it may be best to call the courthouse and ask if there was a warrant issued. If so, ask if you can be recited to court so that you can ask for more time to pay your fines.

What is the relationship between the attorney and the assistant prosecutor? What is the judge's reputation as it pertains to OVI? The discretion on reducing the charge to a reckless operation is up to the assistant prosecuting attorney. However, the police officer may have input as to his feeelings on a potential...

What do i do when i got a speeding ticket and dint pay the fine or go to court?

Asked by a user in Lexington, NC - over 2 years ago.

Your failing to appear or pay the fine most likely resulted in a warrant for your arrest. Thus, the best thing to do is to go to the original arresting agency and ask if they can recite you back to court. Most often this is not a probalem. Then, actually go to court, on the new court date, and enter a plea.
