I have had a few lawyers work on my immigration case over the last 10 years, and none of them compared to working with Gus. He was always available when I needed questions answered, and his guidance was second to none. If I wanted a quick answer or update on something, I often just used the online portal that was provided to me throughout the process. Gus would call or email when my status changed, or changes to the existing immigration law affected what we had set out as a game plan. I first met Mr. Shihab in may 2010, when I got a green card lottery. My problem was, I was on a J-1 visa and needed to get a J-1 visa waiver before I can apply for adjustment of my status to a legal permanent resident. when I was searching for a lawyer, I found out that he was located in a convenient downtown office where public transportation was available and easier for me to commute from my work place. After we met, he took care of the application for J-1 visa waiver and wrote a letter to my home embassy for no objection letter. Mr. Shihab was able to get for me: the no objection letter from my country, waiver recommendation from the state department, and final waiver from USCIS in in three months. After the final waiver, Mr. Shihab did a magnificent job of organizing my documents; filling the I-485 form, writing the cover letter; and preparing for the final interview. Finally, I was be able to get my I-485 application approved, with Mr. Shihab's help. During my contacts with him, I found him to be very knowledgeable, caring and promptly-responsive advocate lawyer.

Gus has been my lawyer over last 10 years doing my H1B and Green Card Processing. Thorough professional in every step. Pays personal attention to every single case of the client. I am processing my case
In my opinion, my case(EB2 ,I-485) is almost done.
Last Feb, I had an interview USCIS and I have been waiting for green card.
However, I got a letter from Columbus USCIS last week.

I think officer have misunderstood my case.
I am in 245k.
but they are saying I am in section 245A or 245.1.
Also I am not illegal.
I did not stay or work illegally over 180 days which shows that I have followed section 245K.However, since I applied for section 245k, this makes me legal.
and very strong processing document in office of Gus Shihab last august 23rd.
and I have letter from USCIS TODAY.(sep 01 2010)
They are ordered production of green card.

In short, excellent service. I've worked with a few other lawyers in the past but Mr. Shihab's help/service has been excellent to say the least.
