    Matthew’s Answer

Yes, you should give your coworker your insurance information. Also, make sure you call your insurance company to report the incident. Once you file the claim, your insurance company should be able to handle it.

  • What are my options re: new motorhome purchased in June, 2013 and I have had it unbroken for literally zero days?

    Matthew’s Answer

In addition to the advice my colleagues have already given, you may want to attempt something along the lines of filing a complaint against the dealer with the BBB. Bad reviews are horrible for business. The dealership may decide to work with you in an effort to avoid such bad publicity.

You need to consult a Florida personal injury lawyer to discuss filing a lawsuit and pursuing a judgment against the at-fault driver. You may also want to discuss with your personal injury lawyer the possibility of reporting this incident to the Florida Bureau of Motorist Compliance. Per the Financial Responsibility Law, all Florida drivers are legally required to carry BI coverage in the event they cause an accident resulting in bodily injury. Good luck.

  • Can a 2nd UM settlement be set off by the first UM payment in FL?

I have 2 auto accidents in Seminole Co. FL, in 2010 and 2013 respectively. I was not at fault and I had UMs for both. Received money from at fault driver's insurance from the first accident for $50,000. Received a settlement from my UM policy for ...

If you are talking about two different accidents (that occurred almost three years apart), then it is unlikely for there to be a set-off. However, the policy language will ultimately control in this situation. Additionally, if you have suffered similar injuries in the second accident, the UM carrier will almost certainly claim that they were preexisting.

    Matthew’s Answer

Your attorney should be able to adequately answer this question for you. I can say, however, that you were wise to purchase the UM coverage. Best of luck.

    Matthew’s Answer

I agree with the two previous answers. The decision to administer a breathalyzer or field sobriety test rests solely with law enforcement.
