About Me

Elizabeth D. Moneymaker is a Florida designated Super Lawyer for civil litigation.  She focuses her practice on insurance claims, personal injury claims, family law, and employment law.  Ms. Moneymaker received her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1996, where she served as Articles Editor on the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy and as an Appellate Advocacy Teaching Assistant.


 


            Ms. Moneymaker served as an active-duty Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army, and was awarded a Bronze Star for her service in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  She has also held positions as an in-house staff counsel for a national insurance company, and has several years experience with a local Sarasota firm specializing in insurance defense, employment and construction defect cases.  She keeps abreast of legal issues as an adjunct professor of Legal Studies, teaching Constitutional Law, International Law, Judicial Process, and Military Law, among other courses.


 


Ms. Moneymaker is a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and The Florida Bar Association.  She is admitted to practice in Missouri, Georgia, Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
