Can or should a Florida landlord advise a tenant on their lease?

The risk for the Landlord is that any misstatement, misunderstanding or ambiguity in the directions given may later be held against the Landlord later if the Tenant acts contrary to the directive. For example: If the Landlord tells the Tenant that you have to say yes in writing to renew, is simply providing a piece of paper with the word “yes” on it sufficient.
