Your wife will not be able to work full time on F1 status. She could only work on campus and outside her campus in limited situations. I think you should consult with an immigration attorney about this. Good Luck!!

Yes your friend should hire an immigration attorney to deal with this. The Service will have 48-72 hours to determine whether they want to take custody. However, the local charges must be dealt with before the detainer will he removed. In short, you should hire an attorney for your friend.

It is very important for your friend to consult an immigration attorney. The government might see this as a misrepresentation on a governmental form, which makes her ineligible for the immigration benefit sought. If the infraction is deemed serious enough, the government might move to de-naturalize her. Please call an attorney before you take nay further action. Good Luck!!!

you have to petition for permanent residence for her, which will fix the problem. The embassy in Mexico thinks that your mom has immigrant intent, i.e. she wants to come here and stay. The problem that you will have is that she will have to stay in the United States once she gets her residence. Good Luck!!

The short answer is no. Deferred Action does not grant you any immigration status. if I had a choice, I would go with the U visa. Please talk to your lawyer about this. Good Luck!!!

The government in its announcement said that they will take circumstantial evidence to show that you were present in the US on June 15. These receipts are circumstantial evidence so you might want to submit them with your application. Good Luck!!
