You will have to withdraw your plea, if no more then 30 days have passed or appeal your case. If you got a withhold of adjudication and are otherwise eligible you may be able to seal your charge. You should meet with a criminal defense lawyer to see if any of the things I have mentioned are in fact, an option.

You are not able to seal a DUI in the state of Florida. Since you were convicted (as is mandatory in DUI cases) you are unable to get this charge sealed.

Yes, this arrest will show up on any background check. It will also be public record and your file can be viewed at the Clerk of the Court's office. If you were offered this program, once you successfully complete this program, your charge will get dismissed. At that point, you may be eligible to expunge your record. If you record gets expunged, your charge will no longer be public record.

I agree with the other responses. The jury summons and jury selection do not occur just for one individual trial. They are present for the possibility of a number of trials going forward. In court houses that hear both criminal and civil cases, a juror could be sitting on a criminal or civil case. Additionally, if a defendant did decide to plea after the deadline, but before the trial and could not, he or she would be forced to go to trial and this would be a waste of time and money as well....

You do need to hire a lawyer because that is the best person to assess whether or not you should waive speedy trial or not. You might not like that answer, but the response is just common sense. Once you waive speedy trial your case could wind up being continued more times until you file a demand, so not only does this give you additional time, but it gives the State additional time as well. The facts surrounding your particular case can either be assessed by a lawyer who is trained and...

You will need to request that the Public Defender's Office be appointed. If he has done 15 years of his sentence, the time in which he can appeal this sentence has probably elapsed.

I, like the other attorneys, have never heard of something like this. If this situation occurred as you have described it, it scares me that someone would request you waived your right to speedy trial at a point it was not necessary to do so and that you waived this right without speaking with an attorney first. You are right when you say that you could not file a demand when there has been no information filed, because the case is not ready for trial and no attorney could be prepared. I...

You can amend the injunction and set a hearing to add your place of employment. I agree with the other attorney though, the Respondent can't be within 500 feet of you anyway, so even if your work address isn't specifically noted, it is still covered.
