You will be able to expunge your record but pursuant to Florida Statutes, you can't deny this arrest if you are " a candidate for employment with a criminal justice agency".

It sounds like the score sheet was filed, along with a final judgment and sentence giving the Defendant credit time served and assessing costs and fines. However, you should call the clerk for clarity.

Your fact pattern is very confusing. If you have been arrested, please speak with an attorney regarding your case. Bring your police report. Then you can be properly advised of your legal rights.

  • At the age of 16 i was arrested for marjuwana and two zanex im now eighteen trying to get my degree in law is it still possible?

will i be denyed a job in law because of it? Should i get it exponged?

    Amber’s Answer

You will still have to disclose your arrests to any law schools you apply to and the Florida Bar, if and when you apply to it. You will not automatically be disqualified for admission to a law school or the Bar because of these charges, however, it will more than likely be an extra hurdle you have to face. I would suggest, as the other attorneys have, that you take some time to work on your spelling and grammar. Writing skills are very important not only in the field of law, but also in life.

  • Am I eligible to get both of my charges sealed? They are directly related.

I looked on the FDLE website and saw this: How many dates of arrest can I have sealed or expunged? The eligibility criteria for an applicant to have a record sealed or expunged include the requirement that the applicant be able to attest t...

    Amber’s Answer

In order to seal both, the arrests have to be directly related, as you have mentioned. I see you have listed 2 separate dates, April 8, 2011 and April 30, 2011. If these arrests were not related, you would not be able to seal both charges, you would need to pick one charge, if you were otherwise eligible.

  • What steps do you take to find someone innocent of a crime they didn't commit and they did 21 years for that crime

he was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and the weapon was mace and there was another person that bragged about the crime but he wasn't charged he said that the person that is in prison was the one that did it.

    Amber’s Answer

Yes, the other attorneys are right. If you have uncovered newly discovered evidence that was not available 21 years ago, you may have a viable appeal issue. However, this person will need to hire an attorney to appeal the case for him. Appeals are costly, but if your appeal gets granted, they are certainly worth the cost.

  • Is it on my record?

I got Pre trial intervention, and I was wondering if my charge with retail theft is on my record. I didn't plead guilty I just got offered this. So please let me know

    Amber’s Answer

Yes, this arrest will show up on any background check. It will also be public record and your file can be viewed at the Clerk of the Court's office. If you were offered this program, once you successfully complete this program, your charge will get dismissed. At that point, you may be eligible to expunge your record. If you record gets expunged, your charge will no longer be public record.
