I refer to this scenario as a "delayed arrest", and this is typically done for a couple of different reasons: (1) so that the suspect forgets whom he/she may have dealt with back on the offense date, and/or (2) in a situation where the officers are trying to increase the transaction amount up to a trafficking amount or get the suspect to sell from where the drugs are being stored (which could provide the legal basis for a search warrant). My only recommendation is that you should NOT look to the internet to get advice on these types of allegations. I dont know how else to explain it. Good luck....
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Any responsible parent knows that thhere is nothing good that come from this situation. Keep him away from her..even from touching her in any way that could be construed as sexual.
My advice to folks in similar situations is to always retain a lawyer if you are able. Here in Hillsborough you are really not looking at jail time as an option on VOPs. The VOP judge here typically reinstates, modifies, or sends to FSP.
