Hire this firm if you want your case to drag on indefinitely while being bilked for every dollar possible. After expressly stating to ADAM RABIN that we were looking to settle, this attorney proceeded to bill $48k in a six month period: refusing and delaying the sending of multiple settlement offers, telling us that opposing parties intend to go to trial and we needed to expend inordinate amounts preparing, billing for work specifically requested not be performed, recommending rejecting of mediation, and conducting extensive unnecessary legal research of many hours to draft long detailed motions. He also told us that opposing counsel insurance defense firm was trying to make their 'nut' before they settle, therefore attempting to settle with them too soon would be pointless (delayed sending settlement offer to them for 2 months and never sent an offer to another defendant). Apparently he is friends with that attorney, was seen hugging and chatting for 20 mins before an important deposition (likely billing us for that), and attempted to get us to settle for a low ball offer from them, helping his buddy.
His billing practices are disturbing to say the least: back and forth emails-no more than 5-10 mins of work-bundled with a whole lot of calls, 'file review' and other nonsense, for which we never received explanations as to their purpose. Within a few months we realized the other side was stalling, delaying, filing needless motions and was not preparing for trial, and advised RABIN we needed to change our tactics regarding billing; this request was completely ignored. Ultimately, after repeated requests to reduce billing we finally realized that RABIN was just stringing us along and would continue to bill us the maximum he thought he could get away with until he 'permitted' settlement to occur right before trial. He would likely have advised us to settle for a paltry amount while being paid in full from the settlement for his exorbitant billing. After firing RABIN I contacted a defendant directly who stated his attorney had sent multiple settlement offers which we never received, early in the case. Now he is hounding us and our new attorney for the amount we refused to pay him because of his unethical and unprofessional tactics of bilking his clients regardless of their instructions and goals. And guess what? After a FINAL INVOICE a month ago after being fired, he sends us ANOTHER invoice this month!! Is this someone you would be crazy enough to TRUST with your case??? RUN don't walk away.
Very meticulous, organized, sophisticated, non-judgmental, filled with knowledge on the law, dynamic, well-respected among other lawyers and judges and a GREAT NEGOTIATOR. On my experience with Adam Rabin, I notice that he takes pride on what he does. There is nothing that will take his attention (sickness, illness, holidays, etc.) from meeting the deadlines, hearings and getting the results that you want. He will fight for you, like a tiger with his gentle and polite way.
Adam does not let his ego get in the way of what is best for your case. If need to be, he will go to the well and back to assure that everything that can possibly be done for your case will be done, not one, but ten times if need to be. He is relentless when given a task. His commitment is something I have never seen in someone before. I highly recommend him and endorse him.
Mr. Rabin posses lazer focus and a detailed knowledge of the law. He is articulate in his presentation of the legal points and does so in a manner that a judge and jury can make favorable decisions from. His voice and tone conotate respect from those that he talks to as well. Equally important is the fact that Mr. Rabin will not take on every case that comes his way. His clients character, and the morals of the legal issues at hand are just as important in deciding who to represent. If Mr. Rabin agrees to represent you, consider it a gift. This man is one in a million..
Adam was highly professional, very astute, unflapable, resilient, persuasive, and to the point. He was believable and likeable. His rerpresentation of my case left me very satisfied.
