Description: Jane Raskin represented a national law firm which was named as a target of an investigation into payoffs to public officials in exchange for influence over votes on a large real estate development project. Although one of the firm’s attorneys was eventually prosecuted and convicted of participating in the scheme, Jane Raskin successfully convinced the government that its client had no knowing involvement in the scheme and, consequently, her client was not prosecuted.
