    we never received the call from the vet to pick up our beloved cats ashes. after i placed a call to inquire what was taking so long they realized they had placed a tag with our cat for mass cremation in error. so no ashes. we are heartbroken

    I am very sorry to hear this happened and it is terrible. Although your post does not describe the resolution you seek, you might want to call up the vet and discuss the situation and see if you can reach a resolution.

    Since you voluntarily gave the xbox to him it is not really a police matter. You can probably file a small claims suit. You should contact your local clerk of court for information concerning the fees and procedure.

    If there was an agreement that he would make the payments and he stopped, you may have a cause of action against him. You might want to consider contacting a local attorney to assist you.

    I am not familiar with the case, but a good place to begin your research would be to visit your local law library and ask for help using Shepard's and/or Key Cite to look for reported opinions that have cited to the case.
