About Me

Miguel San Pedro has been an attorney in Miami, Florida for over 30 years.  Mr. San Pedro is a second generation attorney.  His uncle, Emilio San Pedro, graduated from the University of Miami in 1938 and at the outbreak of World War II, returned to Cuba to practice law in Havana.  Miguel's father, Miguel San Pedro, Sr., graduated with a law degree from the University of Havana.  In Havana, Miguel Sr. practiced law until the communist revolution.  In 1973, Miguel Sr. received a Certificate of Law Studies from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin School of Law and worked for The Law Office of Stanley Ersoff in Miami, Florida as Office Manager.  Mr. San Pedro followed in the family tradition and attended the University of Florida in 1974.

Mr. San Pedro is a true "Miamian" and a proud alumni of Miami Senior High where he excelled in football in the late 1960's.  After Miami High, Mr. San Pedro obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree with a major in Political Science and earned a Certificate in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida in 1975.  Subsequently, he graduated from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin School of Law in 1978.  Upon graduation and passing the Bar, Miguel returned to Miami where he began his own practice.

Mr. San Pedro is a full-hearted trial attorney whose practice is a general practice and, for the past 30 years, has handled criminal defense, personal injury, wrongful death suits, contract litigation, corporate law and probate cases.  He personally has handled many notable cases over the past 30 years including United States of America v. Eduardo Arocena (New York, 1984 - six week jury trial involving the infamous Omega 7 gang), Rodriguez v. Bovis of Florida, Inc. (wrongful death case, verdict affirmed by the Third District Court of Appeal in Rodriguez v. Bovis of Florida, Inc., 767 So.2d 1266 (Fla. 3rd DCA 2000)), and Sogo v. Garcia's National Gun, Inc., 615 So.2d 184 (Fla. 3rd DCA 1993) (the first successful wrongful death suit against a gun dealer involving a suicide).

Mr. San Pedro spends his free time with his wife and their dog.  He is also the proud father of four daughters and one son whose careers vary from social work, healthcare, finance and the legal profession.
