To make a claim on a security deposit, you must do so in writing and in a timely manner as required by Statute. Failure to do so means you have waived all rights to make a claim on the security deposit. What you can claim under the security deposit will be governed by the terms of your lease with the tenant. You must consult with a lawyer immediately to preserve your claims.
