  • If an asylum applicant can apply for a work permit after 150 days, can the derivative spouse on the application do so as well?

    I know that a person, let's say a married man, applying for asylum can apply for a work permit 150 days after the application is submitted. Can his wife apply as well, or only the husband applying for asylum.

    Yea, Any riders on the application (ex. spouse) are eligible to apply for a work permit as long as the clock has not stopped and you have reached 150 days with a pending asylum application.
