    In order for your ex boyfriend to have rights he would have to establish paternity. After paternity has been established he would be to have rights to the minor child as well as being partial financially responsible for the minor child.     Unless the holder of the insurance policy changes the name of the beneficiary, a divorce will not cancel out the ex-spouse as a beneficiary.     There are many issues here based on the separation ( the lease, time sharing, child support, etc.). As for the lease, any legal document two individuals sign binds them both.
