    Description:
    Client was in deportation proceedings because he had pled guilty to a aggravated felony charge that made him both deportable and ineligible for forms of relief. Prior to retaining our firm, Client had retained another lawyer to attack the prior conviction with no success. When we were retained, we were able to go back and attack the prior conviction and negotiate a plea to a different charge that was not an aggravated felony and not a deportable offense. The deportation case against our client was dropped.

    Description:
    Client was stopped for a traffic infraction and subsequently arrested for DUI. He performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and blew well over a .08. However, the stopping officer did not have probable cause or reasonable suspicion to detain Client for an extended period of time while the stopping officer waited for a DUI officer. We filed a Motion to Suppress.

He had a prior petit theft conviction from when he first entered the country and didn't speak English. We vacated the prior conviction and the case was dropped. We then filed for his Naturalization and he had no issues at the interview.
