Description:Plaintiff's decedent wife died from undiagnosed cervical cancer despite having had regular Pap smears throughout her adult life. She had been treated for several years leading to her death by the Naval Medical Clinic at Kings Bay NSB GA. The Pap smears had been misread for 4 years prior to the date of her diagnosis. She survived one year from diagnosis and died leaving her husband and a 6 year old son. Suit proceeded against the US government pursuant to the Federal Tort Claims Act as well as several private entities. All claims settled at or before pre-trial conference.
