    Outcome:
    Settlement
    Description:
Client suffered scars on leg from Dog Bite and a broken foot. This was a difficult case in that the Dog's Owner denied liability and had no insurance to cover the damages. • Settlement - Automobile Accident

    Practice Area:
    Car Accidents
    Outcome:
    Settlement
    Description:
Client suffered soft tissue injuries to upper back and shoulders due to a rear end collision. Insurance Company initially denied liability as our client was cited for an illegal u-turn. At our client’s deposition we were able to demonstrate to the attorney for the insurance company that this was incorrect and that our client was attempting to make a legal left hand turn when he was rear ended. A settlement was reached shortly thereafter.

    Jan 01, 2012

    Settlement

The Decedent in this matter unfortunately passed away due to complications from receiving a lung biopsy. This was a difficult case in that the decedent was already suffering from Stage 4 lung cancer and may not have survived much longer anyway. We were able to reach a favorable settlement for his surviving children after we showed that it was impossible to know just how much longer he would have survived and that the value of list few months would have been the most valuable to him as he knew he did not have much longer.

Case was strongly defended on the basis that there were no witnesses. We were ultimately able to reach a favorable settlement for the case on the verge of trial after we were able to prove during discovery that the bathroom had been cleaned less than 15 minutes prior to our client entering.

    Confidential Settlement
    Description:
Client suffered extensive dental damage and a broken wrist when she was mugged at a major shopping center. Case was strongly defended by the owners of the shopping center on the basis that the jury would apportion most of the liability to the unknown assailant. We were able to reach a favorable settlement of the case at mediation after showing that the shopping center's security was completely inadequate given their knowledge of prior crimes on their premises.
