    Be prepared to document your relationship, length of time together, witnesses, etc... While there may be an inquiry, this is a fact based process and you can be prepared by having documented facts. Do follow up and continue to check on the progress. As with any government agency, keeping your file in front of them is a good way to get processed. Also remember, while this may be frustrating, stay with the facts and do not vent or make it an emotional appeal to the agency.
