Unfortunately, your boss is a jerk, but no legal action at this point is available. None of the above adjectives constitute actionable slander. My best advice is to file a formal complaint with his supervisor or other manager. When the economy returns, get a better job.

I agree with prior attorney response...this does not appear to be a viable claim...unfortunately, the laws in North Carolina are very complex and the medical evidence necessary can be difficult to elicit...you absolutely need to consult an experienced attorney to even have a chance...

NC is an "at will" employment state..."at the will" of the employer...which generally means you can be terminated with or without "cause"...there is a prohibition against employers "retaliating" against injured workers but the penalty is very limited...most employers ignore same and terminate for "other reasons"...as you are represented by counsel, your best option is to consult your current lawyer and see what answers they can provide...good luck...

I am actually licensed in NC...each case is unique...it depends on your age, education, prior injuries, ability to return to your job, impairment ratings, permanent restrictions, future medical care needs, etc...as you can see, there are too many variables to give you a simple answer...the best option is to consult an experienced workers' compensation attorney, preferably with some medical training...I have over 21 years workers' compensation experience and am a former Registered Nurse (RN)...I...

When considering any type of professional negligence action, you have to first consider the costs of bringing same...prior to filing a lawsuit, you are now required to have your records reviewed by a similarly qualified practitioner and have an "expert opinion" showing that a malpractice action is appropriate...oftentimes, the costs of bringing such a lawsuit are more than any potential recovery...be careful...good luck...

Yes...if you refuse to give a statement, the carrier will close their file...they are entitled to conduct an investigation...it should be brief...you should be fine...give the statement and get your car repaired...good luck...

The first thing you need to do is get the served papers to your insurance agent so that they can defend you...certainly, you have a duty to inspect, maintain, and repair fencing so that livestock do not get out and into the road...if something like this does happen, a jury will look at your conduct in this regard...on the other hand, juries will also examine the claimed injuries of the plaintiff and whether he did all he could to avoid the accident...was he traveling too fast or speeding...was...

Everything in workers' comp cases depends on how you "end up"...there is nothing for "pain and suffering"...instead, you are compensated for any resulting permanent disability...in my cases, I apply my experiences as a former Registered Nurse (RN) to look for potential problems in the future...the older we get, the more slowly we recover from injuries...I also evaluate education, vocational difficulties, permanent restrictions, prior job history, and future medical costs before I begin...

Unfortunately, your situation is not uncommon...the only way to get full payoff value on a new car is to purchase "gap" insurance offered at the time of sale. Otherwise, the actual cash value is usually less than what is owed.
