She was released from immigration custody after spending a year in custody on the charge. The case went to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, where the government took a dismissal. One year later, we assisted the client in obtaining a 212(h) waiver before an immigration judge, and she is now a legal permanent resident and home with her daughter.
