I feel as though I had inadequate representation. I paid him in cash advance for taking my case all the way to trial. Just before trial he insisted a plea bargain was the best thing for me when it really wasn't. I was later told by some law enforcement friends there really wasn't adequate evidence so... I would have been better off going to trial, and he had substance abuse issues. He always seemed okay when I talked to him, and he seemed to be such a nice young man. I was naive and trusting to my own disadvantage. He never returned any money from not taking me all the way through to trial and then I couldn't find him. I was told he had been disbarred and left town. Most everybody was hush hush at the time.

Mr. Smith was hired last year to represent me in some traffic violations. He did not go to court on my behalf and did not notify me. I was arrested for failure to appear and incurred numerous expenses. I filed and won a small claims case against Mr. Smith (on June 7). He continues to refuse to p...ay or contact me regarding this matter.
