Phil Gardner is probably one of the finest lawyers in the Commonwealth of Virginia. His reputation is stellar both as a criminal defense attorney and as a civil litigator. When I was a prosecutor, Mr. Gardner was a formidable foe in the courtroom. When I saw his name on the docket next to a Defendant I would frankly prepare more for his cases. If there was a problem with my case, he would always vigorously and methodically bring it to the Court's attention. I also had the privilege to work for Mr. Gardner as an associate while I proceeded with my plan to start my own practice. There I observed the man firsthand. Mr. Gardner has a work ethic that is second to no one. He works extremely hard for his clients, no matter their background or how uphill the fight may be. I learned a lot from Mr. Gardner. Would highly recommend.
