We retained Jennifer before our home study and she helped us until finalization. She was excellent all the way. She walked us through the various options, helped us with our "marketing book" to show birth parents, and then set out to find us a match. Within a few months we were lined up with an agency situation. We continued to use her services after we were matched, and when things got really tough due to the birth family wavering in their decision to give up the baby for adoption (both before and after its birth), she was pretty much the rock we had to lean on when we didn't know one minute to the next what was going to happen. We had a social worker at the agency, but to some degree the agency's priorities are to protect itself first, and it was wonderful to have someone who was totally on our side. She steered us through the crisis and I believe her professionalism and good relationship with the agency helped make things work out in the end. Now we are the proud parents of a six month old who has changed our lives. We hope to adopt again in the next couple years and will be going back to her for sure. She is wonderful.

My husband and I wanted to find a surrogate on our own since we could not afford the agency fees or the matching fees. We spent a lot of time searching online, running ads and Jennifer was helping us the entire time with reviewing ads, potential surrogates and advising us on what to do and not do. She was fantastic and we found a surrogate in WI so Jennifer referred us to a local attorney who finalized everything.

We tried to adopt for five years - at one point we even called Ms. Fairfax and should have signed up with her at that time (but no regrets or we would have our son). After we pretty much gave up all hope, our son's wonderful birthparents found us and the next thing we knew we became parents. Several attorney's later (just for our son's actual adoption), after much frustration with our attorney, we called Ms. Fairfax. She reassured us she knew what she was doing and she did. She quickly stepped, got everything fixed that was not done properly and got us to finalization without any further difficulties in a matter of weeks. Once she took over, we felt a great sense of relief and we could finally focus on enjoying being parents to our wonderful son rather than stressing over his adoption paperwork/finalization.

She is a pleasure to work with, very supportive and professional. We highly recommend Ms. Fairfax as an adoption attorney and appreciated all her hard work, devotion and dedication to the couples trying to adopt and the families she has helped, especially ours!

I have done two other surrogacies and used a different attorney on behalf of myself. I wish I would have known Jennifer from the first time around. Her knowledge, and advice is by far way better than myself or my husband could ever had thought possible. She responds to questions or concerns very rapid. Her direction gave both my husband and I much comfort in every aspect. I highly recommend her to any GC as she gets her job done and gets it done correctly.

We met Jennifer after speaking to other attorneys in the area and found her to be warm and personable and her fees were more reaonsable. She explained that we did not need all the paperwork another lawyer tried to push on us and we got our second parent adoption done for 1/3 of the cost another lawyer was going to charge us. We had a great expereince with Jennifer as our adoption attorney. Not only was she knowledgeable about the whole process, but she was caring and extremely dedicated to helping us. She even came to our final court appearance a week after her surgery. I don't know any other lawyer who would have done that.
