There is a law in New Jersey that a young person who is on a provisional license can not turn a two point moving violation into zero points. If this is the case, the only way to walk away with zero points is for there to be a hearing and a finding of not guilty.

Our objective is to negotiate an agreement with the prosecutor to amend the careless to a violation which carries 0 New Jersey points. An experienced New Jersey licensed traffic law attorney will likely have a much better chance of negotiating a favorable outcome than if you were to appear in Court by yourself. I am available to discuss your matter with you by phone at your convenience. Thank you. Michael

  • I received a ticket for talking on my cell phone while driving. I haven't had a ticket since 1992 for not wearing my seatbelt.

I am aware of the laws for this offense and I was wondering if I should retain a lawyer to keep from having my insurance company finding out and charging me as if I had a DUI.

    Michael’s Answer

I agree with my colleagues. New Jersey has very severe penalties for cell phone use. I am happy to discuss this matter further with you. Michael
